- Energy Efficiency: SEnerCon has developed a number of novel tools which help to increase energy efficiency in private homes. Among these, for example, a monitoring tool which checks the energy efficiency and the appropriateness of currently installed circulator heating pumps and gives recommendations either for shifting the settings of the pump or recommends a pre-term exchange as the efficiency gains achieved would amortize within an adequate amount of time. Another example is the comparative analysis of heating bills and heat energy consumption of residential buildings which allows benchmarking the heat energy consumption of similar dwellings.
- Consumer advisory/dissemination: Consumers consult our webpages frequently in searching for advice on how to save energy. The topics addressed and offered by SEnerCon are related to the HVAC-system of homes but also include an up to date data basis on currently available modernization supporting schemes. All in all our online advisory services has reached more than 4 Million sessions. From the accomplished advisories we were able to generate and validate data for more than 1 Million residential buildings located in Germany.
- Software development: All tools offered were developed by SEnerCon and are regularly updated. A more recent example is the development of mobile Apps like our StandbyApp which checks the stand-by electricity consumption of household appliances.
- Data analysis: Through its online advisory services like the energy savings account or the offer for tenants to have a heating cost and heating consumption analyzed by SEnerCon about 1 Million data sets about the actual energy consumption of private, residential housing units, both for apartments and single/double family homes, exist, in some cases even panel data is available. This is to our knowledge the largest data basis on energy consumption of residential dwellings for Germany.
